Winter 2021 hitting and fielding clinics
For PWGFS families preparing for the Spring season, our offseason training offerings are open for registration. Use the link on the upper right-hand side of this site to get started.
Winter hitting and fielding clinics take place on Feb. 21 and March 7 for 8U and 10U player, and Feb. 28 and March 14 for 12U and 16U. They cost $30 per session. Players will learn skills in both areas on both days.
Each of these will be held at the Kids' Choice Sports and Fun Center at 13000 Sport and Health Drive, Woodbridge, Va., 22192.
Covid safety guidelines as provided by the center, county and state will be in place, which means everyone will need to wear a mask and socially distance when entering the building. Participants may remove their masks. Players will be kept in small groups and will not share balls.
2020 Summer hitting and fielding clinics
PWGFS field at Andrew Leitch Park
12U, 14U, 16U and 18U players from July 6-10.
8U and 10U from July 20-24.
6-9 p.m. each evening. (6-6:30 for temperature check and check in; 8:30-9 for cleanup)
Monday through Thursday: Hitting and fielding drills.
Friday: Games and camp awards.
Players will be broken into groups based on skill level. Beginning players will learn basic fundamentals; Intermediate & experienced players will be given more complex drills.
Register early for a $10 discount: The cost is $65 for registrations processed before 26 June, and $75 for later registrations or walk-ups at the field on 6 July.
All players' temperatures will be checked and parents/guardians must fill out a waiver. Once players are on the field, they are expected to stay on the field to ensure their safety. The schedule will be as followed:
2020 Winter clinics
Registration for the 2020 PWGFS Winter hitting and fielding clinics is open. The Winter hitting and fielding clinics will be held at Hampton Middle School (14800 Darbydale Ave, Woodbridge) on Sundays, from Feb. 16 through March 8, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $20 per clinic.
