Prince William Girls Fastpitch Softball is holding Opening Day on Saturday, April 23 at Andrew Leitch Park as we celebrate our 35th year of providing girls with an opportunity to learn the game, grow and have fun.
We'll be featuring vendors, games, balloons, prizes and a moon bounce for the children, beginning at 9 a.m. Paisano's Pizza and Snowies Shaved Ice will be serving. During Opening Ceremonies, we'll acknowledge alumni who have played, coached or umpired since the league started as Extended Youth Softball in 1987, and we'll also feature a few words from local dignitaries and ceremonial first pitches from current and past members of the league.
Below is everything coaches, parents and other observers need to know about Saturday.

8:45 a.m. — Olson Photography begins taking pictures
9 — Vendors/sponsors/game tables open
9:30 — Raffle sales begin
11:45 — Line up teams for the league photo
12 noon — Begin announcing teams/sponsors and lining up on field
12:15 p.m. — Opening Ceremonies begin
1 — Raffle prizes called
1:15 — First game of the day
The Olson Photography schedule
Here are the times teams are scheduled to have their team photos taken with Olson Photography. Please note that there is each team's photo time, as well as the collective league photo taken at noon. Teams might also have a game on Saturday, which means they have three appointments, and perhaps a very long day:
9 a.m. — 10U Stealerz
9:15 — 8U Jaguars
9:30 — 10U Maniacs
9:45 — 16U Nighthawks
10 — 8U Warriors
10:15 — 8U HERicanes
10:30 — 16U Stingers (1:15 game)

12 noon — Every team in the league gathers on the field for a collective picture. Opening Ceremonies follow.
